| Thesis | Development of a distributed framework in Java with as application a FireWire picture acquisition component, promoted by professor D. Janssens (University of Antwerp) and F. Cornelissen (Johnson & Johnson). Within Johnson & Johnson there was a need for a general distributed framework that enabled the communication between several components. The different components will fulfill one task, examples are a focus component, a display component and a map component. This framework will be used to develop an automated focusing, acquisition and processing system of images recorded by a camera on a microscope. |
